The New Atheist

Hello again world – it has been a while. Due to a variety of factors, including a rather greuling work schedule, this blog has been silent for far too long. One of the side effects of this the WordpPress installation powering this site getting grossly out of date. This became apparent when I received an email from Google alerting me to potentially dangerous content on the server. After my (less than professional) forensic investigation, it appears a weakness in an old version of WordPress was exploited to upload some internet gambling related content to the site. It does not appear anyone was negatively impacted, though for a time Google and FireFox alerted visitors to potentially dangerous content.

So, the moral of the story is, I need to make a little time, at least every week or two, to log in, make sure WordPress is up to date, and post something interesting/insightful/useful/amusing, and I’ll try to make a point of doing so – probably beginning in mid to late September There are a lot of other tasks to get things back up to speed, and those will happen over the next 6 to 8 weeks, making this a (hopefully) more interesting place to stop on the intarwebs.
