Creationism: funnier than you thought

It’s easy to skewer the arguments of creationists, especially those as silly as the Answers in Genesis folks, but to do it with with both logic and humor, that is fun. Case in point, a recent post from Happy Jihad’s House of Pancakes.

  1. Okay, let’s see. the arguments of creationists are silly. Okay, let’s swing things around a little. This is coming from thjose who believe that evolution is true.

    So, what do we have here?
    First, there was absolutely NOTHING. Then this NOTHING became SOMETHING. (We are not told how this amazing event odured, or by what process.) So, next this SOMETHING which had once been NOTHING exploded in a BIG BANG!
    So now we have NOTHING whch has become SOMETHING going BANG.

    Now as this SOMETHING is fluying off into space it begins to form planets and stars. Eventually, from somweher, no one has yet said where, as far as I know, hydrogen and oxygen came into existence. Afte a period of time, a cell arrived on the scene. Mind you this cell, which was ‘life’ had, apprsaently, developed from lifeless matter. Then this single cell, gradually changes until eventually it arries at us.

    SO NOTHING TURNSD INTO SOMETHING UNTIL IT GOES BANG! THEN NON LIVING MATTER BEGINS TO LIVE.
    And they think creationism is ’silly?’

    Evolution flies in the face of logic, scientific experimentation and obsrvation. The sooner evolutionists recognise that fact, the sooner we can get down to some real science which can only come through a true understanding of origins. God created the entire universe in six days of twenty-four hours.
